Obama: The Stealth Candidate
April 23, 2009
During the never-ending Democratic primary which began in the fall of 2007 and went on and on during most of 2008, all we heard about was how Hillary Clinton was the inevitable candidate of her party. All of a sudden, it became painfully apparent the fix was in to install Barack Obama as the next president of the United States, not Hillary.
We knew very little about this stealth candidate except that he voted present over two hundred times while still a member of the Illinois State Senate, and did the same act while he was a member of the U.S. Senate. He was “Mr. Cool” on the campaign trail. He affected the pose of being above it all.
Obama was the first candidate in American political history to use the disarming and to some charming technique of applauding the audience while they applauded him. Oh, he was so urbane and suave. And unlike all those so-called black leaders, he didn’t shout and use the lingo of the black inner cities. He didn’t scream out hysterically that everything was the fault of the white man. He didn’t use any of the shibboleths employed ad infinitum by the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
He seemed so “different.” He was so above it all! But today, more than ever, he remains truly a mystery. After saying repeatedly he was not looking for revenge against former President George Bush and was not seeking to investigate the Alberto Gonzales Justice Department or the White House legal team, suddenly in typical Obama pirouette style, he does a 180!
Now he is passing the buck to Attorney General Eric Holder, who has already certified himself as an enemy of logic and common sense in the war on terror. So now, Obama has sent the signal to the crazies on the far left who have been waiting for George Soros, Media Matters, the Daily Kos, Huffington Post, Salon.com, the Hollywood political morons, the New York Times, Pat Leahy, John Conyers ? just to name a few of the fanatics on the far left who are now getting what they want.
If the American people don’t rise up in time, it truly will be too late! But, I despair, because the same American people have proven they are not capable of making the right decision.
