I want to share with you a stirring e-mail I received. It was written by a 21-year-old American by the name of Neno Mangione. I hope you like it.

Straight Ahead!

Dear Bob,

It is extremely difficult to judge who deserves this week’s liberal disappointment of the week. The prestige award for this moment in history is dedicated to each and every American member of the media, government, pro athletes, Hollywood, and contemporary society types who spew lie after lie and outrageous remarks concerning the recent overdue laws passed by the state of Arizona regarding immigration.

The first point of order regarding this debate revolves around the fact that these protesters degrade law enforcement simply for following the rule of law. These protesters, in particular politicians, support this notion while pushing for a continuation of refusing to follow duties they swore to uphold as members of the United States government.

According to the Office of the Law Revision Counsel, U.S. House of Representatives 8 U.S.C. ยง 1325 : US Code - Section 1325: Improper entry by alien, part of the immigration rule for the United States of America says:

Any alien who

  1. enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or

  2. eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers, or

  3. attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both

So this statute, the law of our nation, means if you enter into the United States illegally you are thereby regarded as breaking the law. In other words, if you break the law you are considered a criminal.

Criminal actions warrant a punishment, not a hefty reward. The politically correct politicians who have hijacked and taken over the United States are now in the business of rewarding the lawbreakers and punishing those who try and prevent such illegal activity.

A fine example of such utter hypocrisy dates back to the episode under President Jorge (George) Bush when border agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean were persecuted and punished for attempting to capture an illegal alien drug smuggler. We now have another example of those same politicians failing to live up to their sworn duty.

The issue at hand here is while these men were punished for attempting to do their jobs, millions of illegal alien lawbreakers are continuously rewarded while leeching the blood of the American populace. Their abuses of our healthcare system and schools alone have cost taxpayers well into the billions of dollars.

Furthermore, illegal aliens continue to drive down the cost of labor for American workers and have caused a massive burden on our prison systems. Regardless of what you hear from the “sympathetic media,” not every illegal alien comes to our country to simply make an honest living and start a family, nor do they all share some sob story of how they were separated because of deportation.

This may come as a shock but tens of thousands of illegal invaders come here and repeatedly commit grotesque crimes such as rape and murder — the rape and murder of innocent children. They have also deliberately killed Americans, including many of our finest law enforcement officers in Arizona.

In addition, billions of dollars and millions of pounds of illegal drugs come here via these criminals every year resulting in more violence and mayhem and drug addiction of American children. And never forget the possibility of terrorists infiltrating our homeland with a nuclear weapon — a nuke that they just may set off in a neighborhood near you!

Regardless of the grave threats one must admit that not every illegal comes here to commit such depraved acts. Please do not be fooled by the lap dog media who will report only one side of the immigration debate.

The price tag placed on law enforcement to tackle such an issue of disobedience is backbreaking to both our states and our nation. It’s no mystery why we are in such a financial crisis. Yes, there are conditions that have caused Wall Street’s fraud, but the liability posed by illegal immigrants is so significant it is only a matter of time before a national collapse.

The core problem is while individuals like Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and others attempt to minimize such problems, our very own commander in chief Barack Obama goes on national television downplaying the significance of this dilemma.

Typically, he engages in excessive deception to the meaning of Arizona law itself. “You can imagine, if you are a Hispanic-American in Arizona . . . suddenly, if you don’t have your papers and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you’re going to be harassed . . .” These adolescent remarks do not reflect that of a president but rather a child who hasn’t gotten his way and will stop at nothing, even incredible lies, to convince people to believe his point of view.

The bottom line here is that this law merely enforces the existing federal law that is already on the books. Plus, Gov. Brewer and the Arizona legislature added even more civil rights protections.

However, if you listen to such ill-conceived rhetoric like that of countless politicians like Obama, newspapers like the Washington Post, New York Times, the setting Baltimore Sun, and celebrities like Shakira and Ricky Martin, assorted ball players, Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen, left-wing hacks like MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann and Seth Meyers, “Saturday Night Live’s” head writer, you find yourself wondering what to believe.

America is no longer a “melting pot.” It is simply melting . . . melting away into a shell of its former self as cities like Baltimore in our home state of Maryland continue to offer sanctuary to illegal aliens, and the United States itself continues to be a sanctuary nation.

Governors like Maryland’s Martin O’Malley and presidents like Barack Obama welcome the illegal invaders and plan to reward them with amnesty, giving them free healthcare as part of getting them on the “welfare wagon.” They are more than willing to accept their votes and form a massive voter block for all Democrats even if they vote illegally.

We can no longer allow such criminal behavior period. Far more important, we can no longer allow such illicit behavior by those in our own government who continue to trample on our beloved United States Constitution.
