Who Would Be Vilified?
August 6, 2010
Here it is, August 6, 2010. It was on this date in 1945 that the U.S. Air Force B-29 bomber dropped what so far has been the most historic and important bomb in the history of this crazy, suicidal world — the first atomic bomb dropped on an enemy target.
Three days later, on August 9, the second, and we all hope, last atomic bomb was dropped on another enemy target of Nagasaki. And so Japanese cities we had never heard of became etched in our psyches forever.
The dropping of those bombs had to be done. Since that historic and crucial event, every August there are those who come out of the woodwork to wring their hands and to point their fingers at the president who bravely gave the order to end the war without further loss of American and Japanese lives.
The facts speak for themselves. The Japanese were prepared to fight to the end. That meant, they would not surrender without an American invasion of the Japanese homeland.
Military experts have estimated there would have been one million casualties suffered by the invading Americans.
Those who say the dropping of nuclear bombs was not necessary cannot explain why Japan didn’t surrender after the first bomb was dropped on the first Japanese city of Hiroshima.
We waited three whole days and there was not even a hint of coming to the peace table. So when the second bomb was dropped, we held our collective breath and prayed for peace.
And sure enough, the surrender came.
What America did after that historic signing of the surrender on board the United States battleship, which was named for the very state that our president came from, added some irony to this poignant story.
Hopefully, those of you who are reading this don’t need a history lesson from me. However, there are many people who need to understand that unless we regain our self respect as a nation — unless we stop approaching the rest of the world with hat in hand, we will go down to defeat sooner than we may think.
Right now, our Justice Department has arrested many individuals who have slithered to the state of Minnesota. Those worms were plotting to aid their countrymen in Somalia!
Do you remember when American servicemen’s bodies were dragged through the capital of that brutal country?
Do you remember Bill Clinton did not have the courage or the sense to avenge those 18 brave American Rangers?
Remember Bill Clinton was a peacenik during the Vietnam War as well as a draft dodger.
I believe if he had taken the right action then, those America haters from Somalia would not be sending people aboard passenger planes flying into Detroit on Christmas Day with explosive devices in their underwear.
But, what happened to the rat? What has happened to Nidal Malik Hasan, the Islamic swine who murdered 13 American servicemen in Fort Hood, Texas?
I could go on, but if I were to try to avenge my country, who would be the one prosecuted and vilified? Would it be an Islamic terrorist, or would it be me?
You tell me. Let me hear from you. Either call my radio show heard every Sunday at 12 noon on WABC at 770 on the AM dial, or send an e-mail to this web site.
