Our America-Hating President
December 14, 2010
First of all, I am truly sorry you good readers of www.BobGrantonline are having trouble sending e-mails to me due to server problems.
I have notified the people who have been so helpful in establishing this website. They tell me they are working on it. Let us hope that we can see a happy ending to this interlude.
There are other failures that are more serious. For example, some of you know that I compose my editorials in my study at home.
Yesterday, the worst happened, a plumbing failure. Without much warning, toilets overflowed, bathtubs filled with water and plumbers had to be called.
Fortunately, it happened on a weekday and not a weekend or holiday. So, I sit here waiting for the plumber to arrive, and, most of all, I want Josephine to relax.
She is fastidious and hard working. Unlike me, she is not lazy. She likes to see everything clean and neat and I do my best to stay in her good graces by not making too much of a mess.
If you were to visit us, you would see every room in this lovely house as neat as a pin . . . except this room which we call the studio room.
We call it that because this is where I do my radio show. People say to me all the time, “Hey, Bob, after all these years on the air, don’t you get tired going into the city? Isn’t it a nuisance driving in and out of Manhattan?”
If I didn’t have a studio set up in the house, I would not be doing the show. Even driving in once a week would not be worth it.
True, I do love radio and people say I am as good as I ever was. Nevertheless, I must confess were it not for this wonderful ability to broadcast from home, you would be spared the Bob Grant Show!
Why am I carrying on like this about myself and talking about unimportant minutia? After all, there are so many important world issues and national matters that are of great political and economic import.
Yes, there many issues, but the biggest issue is Barack Obama.
I am almost sorry I can see through him as clearly as I do. I would probably be more tranquil if I were as stupid and naive as so many people are.
I see where Obama says, “I’m itching for a fight with the Republicans.”
Why am I not surprised? In the past, he has referred to the Republicans and conservatives as the enemy. Most politicians, including presidents, usually refer to the opposition as just that - the opposition.
Or, sometimes they refer to good friends on the other side of the isle. Obama can no longer hide behind the facade he created in the 2008 presidential campaign.
He has exposed himself, unwittingly, for the fake, phony, fraud that he is. I hate to say it, but I believe he hates America . . . at least the America he grew up hating.
If you read his book, “Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance,” you will understand why I say this.
Now you can understand why having plumbing problems is almost a relief for me. It takes my mind briefly off of the greatest danger confronting America: the man in the Oval Office!
